Producing Right is a solutions producer for agribusiness companies concerned with ensuring a transparent supply chain with verified standards of social and environmental commitments. The company has developed a cloud-based platform, which aggregates social and environmental information collected locally and remotely. Additionally, the platform connects farmers, companies, investors and consumers, providing trust and transparency to all parties involved. With an exclusive assessment protocol and use of technology, Producing Right combines onsite interventions with the use of satellites to deliver customers proposals for changes in the farm management; offering everything from diagnosis and guidance, to complete management of the supply chain. Currently, the company’s platform monitors >16m acres daily and is expected to reach 25m acres in 5 years. To date, a total of 2,400 users have joined the platform through partnerships established with independent producers and companies such as Unilever, Bayer, PMI and ADM.
Impact
Rural properties monitored by Producing Right have following direct impacts:
7.4 million acres of protected native vegetation;
8.6 million acres of area cultivated with good practices;
1.5 billion tons of CO2 have been captured;
50% average reduction in the occurrence of fires when compared with neighbouring farms;.
~20,000 people work in rural properties under good health and safety conditions.
