We offer support for three key project types

  • Business Incubation: We offer forest-friendly businesses grant funding combined with strategic support to develop, test, and scale sustainable land use models that reduce deforestation or restore degraded land across the tropical forest belt. We tailor our support to each organisation’s needs – whether that’s business planning, financial modelling, connecting with potential investors, or helping them access the markets needed for growth.
  • Demand-side Measures: We support projects that strengthen and increase market demand for sustainably sourced products. This includes projects focused on implementing corporate supply chain commitments or public procurement policies, and those that are developing new sourcing guidelines and tools.

  • Enabling Conditions: We also support initiatives that improve the enabling environment for investment into forests and sustainable land use. This includes strengthening policies, governance frameworks, standards, and data systems to remove barriers and create the right conditions for sustainable businesses to thrive.

We welcome project ideas from the following eligible entities:

  • Private sector company
  • Civil society organisation, non-governmental organisation, international non-governmental organisation
  • Smallholder or farmer association or cooperative
  • Research or policy institute or think tank
  • Trade or industry association

Projects must operate in one or more of our target geographies: East Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar), West Africa (Sierra Leone, Liberia, Côte D’Ivoire, Ghana), Central Africa (Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Republic of Congo), Southeast Asia (Indonesia) and Latin America (Brazil, Colombia, and Peru).

If you would like to submit an idea for a project, please:

Once you’re ready, you can submit your idea using the form below:

Submit your idea via our online idea note form. This form captures a summary of your project and key details that help us assess its suitability. We will consider your proposed project’s alignment with our strategic priorities and assessment criteria.

You can expect to hear back within approximately 2–4 weeks. If your idea moves forward, you may be invited to complete a Project Concept Note (PCN) application, including a detailed budget and risk register. If selected at this later stage, Palladium will carry out due diligence on your organisation, in line with its own company and client guidelines.

If you have any questions or need support during the process, please contact us at info@p4forests.com.
